On Saturday evening, May 17, 2008 Mission
Community Hospital invites you to attend our
annual fundraising event. Our 5th Spring Affair
is scheduled this year at the exciting Globe
Theatre, Universal Studios Hollywood.
Our goal this year is a $150,000 refurbishment
of our treasured Emergency Services area, built
in 1964. Still in its original location, our ED
has seen many years of service, provided many
residency rotations for local physicians, and
saved many, many lives. It has provided decades
of quality Emergency care to the residents of
our community and now deserves our attention and
restoration.

Mission Community Hospital is an independent
non-profit community hospital. We are a vital
link in the healthcare safety net, providing
emergency care, behavioral health and
medical-surgical care to the North central and
Northeast Valley residents. Our San Fernando
Campus for Health & Education continues to
provide low-cost dental care in collaboration
with UCLA, diabetes education/outreach, and the
soon-to-be Diabetes Teaching Kitchen. Funds
raised in past years have allowed us to purchase
an operating table and surgical equipment, 2
medical lifts, 2 portable x-ray units and much
more.
We welcome any and all contributions, but invite

of the illustrious California Dreamers, and
Casino-style entertainment.
