Who we are, Who we serve
"Compassionate health care, Quality health care"
Mission Community Hospital (MCH) is a two-campus acute care hospital located in the San Fernando Valley and owned and operated by San Fernando Community Hospital, Inc., a not-for-profit California charitable corporation. Licensed for 60 medical/surgical beds and 60 acute psychiatric beds, we provide a full range of medical, surgical, psychiatric and emergency care.
We are fully accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO) and are fully licensed to participate in Medicare and Medi-Cal programs. In addition, we are proud to have been designated as a California Disproportionate Share Hospital with 94% of our services being provided to Medicare and/or Medi-Cal beneficiaries.
The communities we serve are largely populated by individuals and families with enormous healthcare needs who hesitate to seek help because of a variety of socioeconomic, language and cultural barriers. We are dedicated to meeting these needs by providing the highest quality of care in a compassionate manner and in accordance with the multi-cultural, multi-lingual nature of the communities we serve. We are also dedicated to acting as the primary access point for members of our community to assure that they receive the full range of healthcare services, including disease prevention and health education. We are able to accomplish this through our collaboration with neighboring hospitals and with a variety of community organizations and agencies.
