Dear Friends, Patrons, and Colleagues,
On Saturday evening, November 7, 2009, Mission Community Hospital
invites you to attend our Autumn Gala 2009 to be held at The Ronald
Reagan Presidential Library's stunning
Air Force One Pavilion.
Please join us as we share with you the details of our success this
year as an independent, non-profit community hospital in the midst
of healthcare reform. The new opportunities that come with change
will present challenges and call upon us for renewed commitment. Our
Governing Board has been true to its' commitment to serve as the
"safety net" hospital caring for those in need by providing
healthcare to a burgeoning pool of uninsured consumers - no longer
just a community issue, but the nation's most urgent healthcare
issue.
MCH has emerged as one of the finest quality hospitals in the San
Fernando Valley. Our 6th annual fundraising event provides you the
opportunity to express your support and give generously in honor of
the recognition we've received nationally and locally for our
patient care and Quality of Life initiatives:
- Top 10% Nationwide for Specialty Pulmonary Care 2007, 2008, 2009
- L.A. Care's Quality Incentive Program 2008, 2009
- One Legacy for performance in support of organ and tissue donation,
2009
- Project Alto, Diabetes Prevention & Education
- Diabetes Teaching Kitchen
- The MCH/UCLA Dental Clinic
There are so many that deserve recognition. This year we want to
acknowledge the contributions of those who serve our clients living
with chronic mental illness. Our Behavioral Health programs are an
important component of the Mental Health system of care in Los
Angeles. Mission Community Hospital plays a critical role and it is
our goal to share the message of this success.
You are invited to be a sponsor of this special event featuring
fabulous entertainment, tours of Air Force One, fine dining,
dancing, exciting live/silent auctions, and casino-style
entertainment. The incredible generosity of last year's event
sponsors, $150,000, allowed us to enhance our Emergency Department
with significant safety features, signage, equipment, repairs, and
improvements that support the safe delivery of care 24 hours a day.
The proceeds from this event will be directed to supporting our
Quality of Life initiatives and the expansion of mental health
outpatient services.
I encourage you to respond at your earliest convenience. To confirm your sponsorship, complete and return the
enclosed sponsorship opportunities form. For more information,
please contact Julie Powers at 818-904-3545 or email
Jpowers@MCHonline.org.
I look forward to seeing you there,
Heidi Lennartz, LCSW
