OUR PURPOSE
Mission Community Hospital's First
Step Detoxification Program is known for providing excellent acute
medical detoxification services. Our experienced and compassionate medical
staff provides the quality care and supportive environment patients need to
recover from drug and alcohol addictions.
We walk side-by-side with each individual and their
loved ones on the path to healing and recovery. Being a part of the Mission
Community Hospital campus provides the extra peace of mind and medical support
services that only a hospital can provide. Our physicians work with each
patient to stabilize withdrawal symptoms and manage any other acute medical
problems with the support of 24-hour nursing care.
We understand that detoxification alone does not treat
addiction, but for most individuals is the needed first step. While our primary
purpose is to provide safe and comfortable individualized medical
detoxification, we believe it is equally important to provide a continuing plan
of care for the future. Our health care team looks ahead to the next steps in
addressing the underlying issues of addiction and ensuring the success of every
patient.
OUR PROGRAMS
First Step provides
excellent care and treatment for our patients' safe, comfortable detoxification
from alcohol and other drugs. A personalized program is specifically designed
for each person based on an extensive intake interview and analysis of medical
information. Each step of detoxification is carefully monitored and supported
by the compassionate care of highly-qualified doctors, counselors and nurses.
We also take great care in helping our patients select a continuum of care to
help them stay free of addictions and fully resume their lives.
Our physicians are accredited in the use of
Buprenorphine for the treatment of opiate addiction. Inpatient PROMETA
protocols also can be provided for the treatment of alcohol, cocaine and
methamphetamine addiction. First Step's discharge
planners have established relationships with treatment and recovery programs
throughout the community in support of both 12-step programs and other
alternatives. We offer free transportation to and from Mission Community Hospital
to your aftercare facility of choice.
