About Mission Community Hospital

Owned and operated by Deanco Healthcare, LLC, Mission Community Hospital has been providing high-quality healthcare in the San Fernando Valley community for more than 50 years. Mission Community provides a full range of medical, surgical and mental health care, including 24-hour emergency services.

Our Mission

At Mission Community, our doctors, nurses and hospital staff are dedicated to providing the best-possible care within a compassionate environment that meets each patient’s physical, social and emotional needs.

We know that many of the individuals and families in our surrounding community may face socioeconomic, language and cultural barriers to accessing healthcare. We are dedicated to meeting their needs with multilingual and multicultural understanding. We’ve partnered with neighboring hospitals, as well as community organizations and agencies, in order to ensure we provide the full range of services they need, including health education and disease prevention.

Hospital Accreditation

Mission Community is licensed for 75 medical/surgical beds, 10 critical care beds plus an additional 60 beds for psychiatric care. Fully accredited by The Joint Commission, our hospital is licensed to participate in the Medicare and Medi-Cal programs. Additionally, Mission Community is a designated California Disproportionate Share Hospital, and majority of our services are provided to Medicare and Medi-Cal beneficiaries.

Policy Against Discrimination

Mission Community Hospital provides patient care on a completely non-discriminatory basis, without regard to race, age, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability or sexual orientation. Mission Community Hospital also operates in strict compliance with the Emergency Medical Treatment and Active Labor Act (EMTALA).

Compliance Program

Mission Community Hospital is committed to honest and ethical behavior, and to conducting its business with integrity. The practice of behaving honestly, ethically and with integrity is an individual responsibility. We make decisions about how to conduct ourselves every day as we go about our work. Each of us is accountable for the actions we decide to take. Mission Community’s Compliance Program is the keystone of its corporate integrity philosophy and communicates the hospital’s ethical business standards. The Compliance Program serves as a cultural compass for the hospital’s staff, management, vendors, volunteers and others. The Compliance Program is a partnership among everyone at Mission Community, designed to help the hospital make the right business choices, both individually and as a team.  For additional information, or to make a compliance report, please click here.
